Dan Cacic grew up in Burnaby and the Tri-Cities areas, where he formed his appreciation for trees from an early age. His passion for the outdoors led him to work in tree care at a municipal level as a field arborist. For several years, he apprenticed under diverse types of arborists that enabled him to hone his skills and knowledge. While working for the city, Dan dreamed of one day owning his own business to raise the bar for quality workmanship, as well as creating a positive workplace for his employees.
In 2008, Dan established StumpMaster, which was primarily focused on stump grinding and tree removals in the Lower Mainland. Over the past decade, StumpMaster has evolved into much more than a tree and stump removal company. Dan’s knowledge of professional tree care, shrub care, and landscape maintenance has produced many successful landscaping transformations. He takes pride in his work whether it’s artistically pruning a Japanese Maple tree or grinding an eyesore of a stump to reclaim underutilized property. Dan’s years of experience ensure that expert assessment and action can be taken to remove stumps, and unhealthy or potentially hazardous trees.
In addition to his experience, Dan has successfully attained professional designations and certifications in the field of Arboriculture; notably, the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist Certification and Hazard Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ). He is also certified in bucket, crane and skid steer operation. He has the expertise to operate many different kinds of stump grinders safely and effectively.

When Dan is not expertly transforming landscapes, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful partner, Sheri, and his two amazing daughters. In his leisure time Dan enjoys experiencing the beauty of nature with his adorable dog Oakley by his side; including camping, hiking, and sightseeing outdoors. He is also an enthusiast of nature art paintings and photography.
